The "Narrow Width Chopped Strand Mat" is a product made from glass fiber chopped strand mat processed to specified width and length for hand lay-up applications. After impregnating with low-viscosity resin and curing, it becomes a fiber-reinforced plastic material (FRP) with excellent water resistance and chemical resistance. "Chopped Strand Mat" is a non-woven reinforcement material suitable for unsaturated resins and vinyl ester resins. It is produced by spreading continuous filament rovings of 50mm in length, randomly and uniformly dispersed with polyester or emulsion binders. Chopped Strand Mat Soft Type

Chopped strand mat soft type is flexible, easy to handle, and perfect for complex shapes!

This product is a mat made by randomly orienting short glass fibers and binding them with a powder-type binder. In the soft type specification, we have achieved a significant improvement in flexibility and workability by reducing the binder content and controlling the oven temperature. It is compatible with all FRP molding processes, including hand lay-up, press molding, and filament winding. It also has excellent compatibility with resins such as unsaturated polyester resin and vinyl ester resin.
